Wow! What a blessing to find your condo on www.myvacationhome.com. We have had a great week of skiing and hanging out. The hot tub was a great success, location to the lift awesome, music and movies a plus! All that you offer here makes for a perfect vacation.

Park City grows on you! It’s 20 degrees warmer than normal (made skiing almost non-existent) until our last day when it snowed huge flakes at least 2 inches in diameter. What a spectacular last day. Our favorite restaurants were Chamayo and Wahso. The snowshoeing tour was fantastic, and I must not forget the yurt on top of the canyon. We sat with newlyweds from our hometown (coincidence)! Condo great! Good luck with it all.

Well, it’s the last night of our two-week stay and we have enjoyed every second. Corinne (8) is skiing with us now and Carley (4) has made remarkable progress and we have skied with her as well. Your condo is magnificent and we will be back!

Thank you so much for letting us stay here. The condo is beautiful. The pool table is very nice and fun. It only snowed for two days. My brother and I built a really cool fort and had snowball fights, and went into the hot tub. It was a blast! P.S. We are from Naples, Florida and my mom loves the cookware.

Over 6 feet of snow for Christmas – 37 inches in past 2 hours! In fact, there is too much  - all resorts had only limited lifts open (3 at Park City) due to wind and avalanche risks. It’s a good thing we have such a comfortable home to relax in. This place is great. Steve has really great attention to detail – the videos, CD’s, pool table, computer, etc. The Caledonian is such a great location we are considering buying a unit. Restaurant recommendations: Prime Steakhouse (across the street), great beer and music, great steaks; Riverhorse Café (lamb and halibut and French onion soup); Zona Rosa (Mexican); and all are on Main Street and an easy walk from the condo. Go to Bad Ass Coffee (half a block up Park Avenue from the condo) for morning coffee and paper;
Davanzar for pizza, Philly Cheese Steaks, etc. (they deliver); and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for caramel apples (try apple pie flavor) – the latter two suggestions are from our children. It looks like USC will be national champs – what a great day! Happy New Year 2004 to the Barsh family and all of you.

We wish you a most “Happy New Year”, 2004! Our 2003 Christmas vacation was indeed a fairytale Winter Wonderland! Our fantasy week began with our driver greeting us at Salt Lake City airport, complete with a huge name card, friendly personality, and a narrated drive at night to the Caledonian. Needless to say, the driver knew many folks that he had escorted to your condo! Some quite well known personalities apparently have stayed here. Before dropping us in the lobby, he took us to Albertson’s grocery store, a lifesaver. Our cupboard was well-stocked with “our essentials”, plus the first night we bought “take-home sushi.” Life is good! Ski:  Sunday-Monday: Six-hour ski lessons at Park City Mountain Resort, lunch on the mountain was fun. The Jacuzzi certainly came in handy, p.m.! Ski theatre:  Nephew Ian had another 6-hour “Team Escape” on Deer Valley trails, instructor was great. Dinner at Wahso was elegant, followed by “Oliver” at the Egyptian theatre. Bed felt wonderful this night (knee pain). Hot Air Ballooning:  Tuesday. A day of rest from skiing, high above the valley with the “Morning Star Balloon Company”, we watched the morning awaken the city below. Ski trails looked so peaceful and beautiful, we could see three different resorts. A champagne toast completed our maiden voyage, the hot-air ballooning experience was fabulous. Snowmobile: 40 miles: Wednesday, we elected to check out an “all-day” snowmobile tour of another city. Fabulous scenery, great sandwiches in the high mountains, and we even explored a creek with beautiful trout everywhere! Six men pulled my snowmobile out of a sinkhole – I apparently did something wrong, with nephew Ian (sorry Ian) right behind me. Life is beautiful, as are the two moose we saw. Trails were very bumpy, but easily negotiated if one follows the trail guide! We had a lovely dinner back a
t Burgies vegetarian style, Life is good. Main Street: We had one-on-one instruction all day. Did I mention the Tuesday night mountain massage? It worked wonders on my joints and muscles. Thursday was pain free. We skied 5 hours prime time today, but came home early to prepare for our sleigh ride with dinner. Sleigh Ride Dinner: Ian loved the Belgium horses – such sturdy creatures, and each person had the opportunity to have photos taken. Dinner was entertaining – trout special: excellent! Ian drove the “rig” back to Payday Lift after dinner. What a memorable evening. Snow fell heavily as a new storm moved in. We hear there will be 10 inches of new powder by Friday morning. Ski again: All day “team escape” for Ian – he’s advanced to a few blue runs this week. Safety is our main concern – instructors daily reinforced this number one rule – have respect for others and yourself! Saturday: luggage stuffed, gifts squeezed in, driver waiting. See you again, Thank you.

We have been here three days so far and have two days left. We are very happy with our choice of condos. The décor, hot tub, office with wireless networking and DSL, pool table, and two posh master bedrooms with their own TVs were all enjoyed by our family (5 children, age 1-13, and 2 adults). We have also enjoyed the privacy of our balconies – although during ski season the lift would be full of people and it wouldn’t be away from the hustle and bustle. The buildings and walkways around the condo are lovely with their fall colors. There are several restaurants within walking distance from the condo that are open in the “off” season – we enjoyed La Casita (Mexican) and the Flying Sumo (sushi). There are many more restaurants a short drive away. We enjoyed The Eating Establishment. All three restaurants had great food. They were all pretty casual in atmosphere. We enjoyed eating outside at La Casita and the kids had fun playing with the giant chess set right next to it. Communicating with Steve has been extremely informative as he knows his condo very well! We live in Utah and thought it would be fun to go somewhere close (just an hour away, and hang out and relax with our family somewhere with a hot tub and lots of good restaurants. It’s been a blast, we’re glad we came. We also like the security of knowing no one can gain access to our own condo floor without a key card. The patio locks are also great for keeping kids out of the hot tub when you need to – they’re European style. Tonight we ate at Riverhorse Café – our first high class restaurant we’ve tried here – it was exquisite, thanks to the guest book for the suggestion. Check out the Park City newspaper ($0.50) for 2-for1 dinners during the off season! It’s available in newspaper stands all over the city. The private office really saved us as my husband unexpectedly had to spend a full day in conference calls, and couldn’t be interrupted by the kids. The headset (phone) was very handy. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We’re so glad we found your place.

We have had the most wonderful time here.  The condo is just great.  We came here with our softball team, the "Jags."  We had so much fun playing pool, cards, and listening to your CD collection.  My husband loved your computer room.  Just being surrounded by the mountains and beautiful green hills was a treat! Utah is so beautiful.  Thank you so much.

Thank you for the use of your condo.  We have never been to Park City and we fell in love! Probably the cutest town were ever seen! Your condo was fabulous, had to drag the kids out of it!  They loved playing pool.  Your condo is very comfortable and relaxing with every amenity needed.  We'll definitely be back.  P.S. Tammara at the front desk was great! And we loved your home office and computer!

We had a fabulous week and we hate to leave. This location is so incredible -- nothing like walking out your door to get on the lift! The condo was enjoyable to "settle in" when we weren't skiing. We skied Park City, The Canyons, and flew down those fast cruisers at Deer Valley.  Look forward to coming back to the Caledonian.  Thank you.

It's hard to beat the lover's reunion after 29 years... but we had a great time.  The condo is very comfortable.  Our 5 year old son liked your video selection, especially "Chicken Run." We had a great dinner at the Prime Steak House and tonight we're looking forward to dinner at River Horse Cafe. We skied Deer Valley and Park City -- both were great!  The lift from town is a riot -- but not for those scared of heights. Tammara at the from desk took great care of us including arranging Francis to baby-sit.  Francis was wonderful -- very nice! Hope all goes well for Sundance Film Festival 2003.  P.S. The stereo system and CD selection were first rate!

Your beautiful condo was the perfect setting for our "chick trip."  Four girlfriends met for a reunion and had a blast!  We highly recommend the downhill mountain biking via either Guardsman's Pass or Deer Valley lifts.  The horseback riding at The Canyons was also worthwhile.  For a fabulous spa day, we went to La Vie (reasonable prices, good service).  Thai Bangkok on Main Street was amazing.  The No Name Pub is a fun local hangout.  Your condo is very user-friendly and has the perfect amenities.  We made great use of the hot tub and pool table.  I've stayed at The Caledonian before and I am never disappointed!

What a wonderful condo.  We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities, huge beds, wonderful views, and great kids movies saved us.  The hot tub was a favorite spot -- we used it morning and night.  The kids loved it.  We had a huge dumping of snow the last two days which made it even more special to us and the kids as we don't get snow like this in New Orleans.  We are all a little depressed having to leave -- we weren't here long enough.  Your condo location is perfect.  We will definitely try to return in the near future.  Housekeeping also did a wonderful job.  Very thorough!  Thanks again for sharing your beautiful place.  We loved it!  (P.S. Lakota had great food.)

Happy New Year!  Our trip this year has been the fastest one yet!  See every year or so we take our whole clan and go on vacation over Christmas or New Year's.  We have a big family of 26 people.  And your condo (just one that we rented in The Caledonian for this trip) for sure was the best place to be!  The pool table has kept us entertained late into the night.  This is the nicest place we have stayed ever while on our annual vacation!  In the past we have been to Squaw Valley and have gone on the Disney Cruise.  We have had so much fun skiing and snowboarding.  And, our new favorite, snowmobiling.  We suggest it to anyone who is up for a wild ride.  All of us are from California so it's such a nice change to go to the snow.  Thanks for all the great times!  P.S.  This is an awesome place at New Year's!  P.P.S.  We hope to be back!  Thanks again!

Fantastic location for me!  Rented a good mountain bike from the nice guys at White Pine Touring across the street and then went off towards Tour Des Suds.  Met a local (Chip) along the way and tagged along (he was a much stronger rider) on one of the best mountain bike rides of my life -- grinding up Guardsman's Pass and back on some sweet single track: Des Suds, TG, TG 2, Bedsprings and other trails known only to Chip and the locals.  (I owe Chip as he was so generous with his time, knowledge of the area, and pleasant company!)  Every vacation must sometimes be interrupted by work.  The discrete and  functional executive home office in the condo with fantastic computer connections made all the difference!  Great location and great condo!  The best!  Thank you!

I hate to leave here today, but... We loved being in Park City (our first time here) and absolutely loved this condo; it couldn't be nicer!  It's beautiful, and the location is perfect -- great access to the restaurants and of course after all the food, a morning jog up Sweeny Switchback was perfect.  My favorite dinner was at Riverhorse Cafe, but it's easy to find a good meal here.  Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us!

Amber had a great massage at Vie Retreat (down the street on Park Avenue).  If you like deep tissue massages, ask for Emily -- it was the best she has had.  We took the 3 hour Heber Valley Railroad ride.  It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed the trip, especially the views of Deer Creek reservoir (we were mooned by a boater!).  However, we would probably recommend the hour and a half trip -- check on what parts you get to see.  A real highlight was the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley Resort -- an outdoor concert.  We brought our dinner and got there early to get a good seat on the lawn.  Also, we hiked the Sweeny Switchbacks.  It was really nice and you can pick it up right outside the door!

A Poem
We transferred to Provo 3 months ago;
We came from a great town... Dublin, Ohio.

Our children were coming from way back east;
To share in a wonderful Thanksgiving feast.

Provo has some nice things to see;
But Park City is the place to be.

So we packed up the car and drove for a while;
When we opened the door to your condo... we smiled!

No snow in the mountains had made us feel blue;
Your home did offer us other things to do.

The pool table, games, & movies were great;
Your 7 person Jacuzzi had us up very late.

We're all heading home to our own little beds;
With memories of our weekend still in our heads.

We'll remember this weekend for a very long time;
Hope you enjoyed our short little rhyme.

Best wishes!

P.S. Horseback riding highly recommended! (Rocking Ranch in Oakley)

We really enjoyed staying in your lovely condo.  We stayed in another unit at The Caledonian last year, and before we left we looked at other units and picked yours out before we left.  We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found it even better equipped than the year before.  We brought another couple and they were equally impressed.  We loved having two practically identical "master" suites.  We come here to visit our many friends who make their summer home here to play golf.  Having a lovely place to come "home" to just added to our wonderful week.

Being able to come back here and settle in at night made our exploring of this region so much nicer.  In our week here we visited the Silver Mine, The Canyons Gondola, The Alpine Slide, Guardsman's Pass, The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, Heber Valley Historical Railroad, Sundance, The Alpine Loop Scenic Byway above Provo, Silver Lake at Solitude, and the Deer Valley Chairlift.  The hot tub sessions at the end of the day were the best!
